BICOM SYSTEMS has won several high profile tenders over the years. In the process we have built both experience and collateral to achieving this. Partners often provide RFQs and RFPs that we assist in. Sometimes this is through simple advice, other times a standard quote. We can however go much further if needed. We will write the bidding document reply if preferred. We have even fronted the bids where appropriate and we have partners who are large enough to front a bid of any size in just about any country.
Skills to Win
Typically for the delivery of large bids an amount of Training and Project Management are required. These skills again can be brought to bear by our teams. One good example is the deployment we undertook for www.mfo.org in Rome, Cairo, Tel Aviv and the Sinai Desert to bring together 5000 users behind the wire. As well as planning and coordinating the core we worked with partners from some of the other countries involved to ensure the deployment.
With Wateen Telecom, Pakistan’s third largest Mobile Provider required a Unique Solution for the Prison Services. Although Prisoner Calling is nothing new, the final solution had to take into account a low level of literacy and the prisons’ own good-behaviour credits scheme. The bid was won by guaranteeing the necessary custom work.

System staging starts off with a conversation with a support engineer, who will cover your current and future requirements, discuss your network and hardware matters. From this you will be provided suggested system specifications.
This will then be followed as the pieces are brought together and so adjustments may be made to circumstances. You will continue this process until the engineer is satisfied of the specification and will give you a green light to order based off of those specifications to move forward to a point of installation … we want to ensure that everything goes well and that your system does not hit limitations it should not in your early months of deployment.
Staging is to ensure your success and to avoid frustrations of hitting a brick wall.
Our remote and onsite training packages are designed to correctly transfer knowledge to our customers to ensure that they are gaining the greatest satisfaction from their deployments upgrades, and maintenance. These follow the prescribed training program with sufficient flexibility to adapt to individual circumstances and abilities. These may be one-on-one or one-on-many to a maximum of four.
Our professional trainers will show you how to stage, install , configure and maintain specific software products. Currently, onsite training is designed to accommodate groups of 8 or fewer attendees and can be performed at your location. Occasionally though customers have prefered to travel to our own offices and meet many more of our staff. The Web-based training provides an overall technical explanation of system architecture, services, and available add-ons. A question and answer time period at the end ensures that all your questions get answered. Remote training session times are agreed with the trainer. Usually there are two or more and are staggered over a two-week period to provide time for experiments, reflection, absorbtion and further feedback.

Bicom Systems offers custom development of PBXware. So often one feature is required to win a customer’s tender. For example the playing the national anthem over the speaker of all phones @ 9am or having an IVR recognise an incoming fax has reached it then processing it as a fax2email transaction. In many cases it’s the one item that’s needed to secure the deal.
This is how PBXware has grown to what it is now… with the ideas and suggestions of the customer / end user. So even if the immediate cost of escalating a feature is too much, ideas may yet come into general release through the usual development cycles.
We also have increasingly open API options to permit you to develop tools yourself. Often proprietary CRMs require middleware.
PBXware 5.0 and above will support webRTC.
